When I started my company Fanbytes at 21, I noticed something. The founders who were respected weren’t just making money, they were people who had created proper enterprise value.
Not £100K months. Not even £500K months.
Enterprise value which meant they could eventually sell their business for millions and become really wealthy.
I made it my mission to build Fanbytes into a company with enterprise value.
100k months were nice, even £1m months were nice but it was still just a highly leveraged income. I wanted to build something that could exist independent of me.
I had to learn the hard way through broken systems, missed exits, and painful handovers.
But over time, I learned there was a science to building for sale.
Eventually, we:
- Scaled to 80+ people in 5 years
- Crossed 8 figures in revenue
- And I exited — without being needed in the business
That’s when everything changed. I made the shift from business operator to asset owner.
